I am pursuing my MBA-MBL from National Law University, Jodhpur. I got confronted with the question "How to prepare for the PG-NET examination?" several times during an year. So i finally decided to put the answer in this blog.
The first thing to make you at ease is- Stop fearing about this exam. This exam is as simple as you can imagine. And simplest if you have prepared for other MBA Entrance exams like CAT, XAT etc.
There are questions from various disciplines in the PGNET examination. Mainly the questions are asked from Political science (constitution, to be more precise), History, General Knowledge (dead and current), Insurance sector (basics), IPR (Basics), and of course English and Mathematics.
Though the subjects involved are numerous but still the exam fails to provide a difficulty level expected from a national level university with such an eminent presence. This is a good thing for some of you and bad for others (who are expecting to "secure position" due to their in depth study..).
As far as study material is concerned, GK, Political sciences can be covered from Vincent's General Knowledge, Mathemetics from any guide providein coachinf for Bank PO or MBA Entrance (Read at priliminary level). English part is generally construed of Unseen pasages and vocabulary. Study material for Insurance and IPR is available on various websites (Dont go into much details.. Read basics of everything).
This is all the information I can provide. The main aim is- "Not to know Everything of somethin but to know something of everything"
Finally I would like to wish All the best to all of you...
